Easier said than done...

Have heard all of this n more, but the fact is, its difficult.

You know u really love someone when u want him or her to be happy, even if his or her happiness means that you're not part of it.

If the person u love doesn't love u back, don't be afraid to love someone else again, for you'll never know unless u give it a try.

The greatest irony of love is letting go when u need to hold on and holding on when u need to let go.

Loving people means giving them the freedom that they choose to be and where they choose to be.

For all the heartaches and the tears, for gloomy days and fruitless years, u should give thanks, for u know, that these were the things which helped you grow.

Wat do u have to say?

absolutely dude. very difficult to implement. but thats true love. n at the end of the day u know, that u dont need to justify urself or reason out urself to anyone else but urself.... (which i think is more difficult than clarifying or satisfying some else's ears n mind)
but some relationships r beyond definition n r best n most beautiful the way they r. painful, but there is some pleasure in pain :-)

on a lighter note, "don't be afraid to love someone else again, for you'll never know unless u give it a try." hope u found someone to give a try ;-)

@ rev: Its a case of mixed emotions.. dont wanna hurt the one you love n at the same time hurting oneself...

to fall in love again seems very difficult... lets c what the future has in store... also i just read Vivek Oberios comment today in the newspaper..he said "Relationships come with an expiry date. Love never does.. it lives on forever.." Seems so true..

great post man! Reminds me of something from the Bible (which I came across in a movie)

"Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him."

Too sublime!

This is more like it.I love your positive take here. It's difficult to implement no doubt.

I'd read something about relationships.
It said that they are like grains of sand and held loosely with respect and space for the other person they flourish and stay but hold too tight and they'll slip away and are gone.

Take time to heal my friend. You've done the right thing if this was what made her happy.Peace be with you.

Hugs and showers of love
